Museum Purna Bhakti Pertiwi, located in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, was completed in 1992 as a 25,000-square-meter space to house the extensive collection of valuable objects, artworks, and souvenirs belonging to Suharto, Indonesia's former president. These items, received from various world leaders and Indonesian citizens, reflect the historical and cultural significance of the era, making the museum a remarkable repository of Indonesian heritage.
The museum’s design is inspired by the tumpeng, a traditional Javanese cone-shaped rice dish symbolizing gratitude. This unique architectural choice embodies a sense of appreciation and respect, aligning with the museum's purpose of honoring Suharto’s legacy. Wijaya Kusuma Contractors (WKC) successfully completed the construction in 1992, delivering a modern and culturally significant structure that continues to attract visitors from around the world.
