In 2019, Wijaya Kusuma Contractors proudly completed the Radjawali Cultural Center in Semarang, a state-of-the-art performance art center spanning 4,500 square meters across four floors. The center’s façade, designed to reflect Indonesian cultural motifs, blends traditional elements with modern architectural design, creating a striking and meaningful visual representation of the nation’s rich heritage. This unique design makes the Radjawali Cultural Center a true landmark in Semarang, serving not only as a hub for cultural expression but also as a symbol of Indonesia’s vibrant and diverse traditions. Inside, the theater is equipped to host a wide range of performances, from traditional arts to contemporary productions, further boosting the country’s art and culture. The facility also includes a multifunction room for events, workshops, and exhibitions, as well as an outdoor plaza for public gatherings and cultural activities.
This project highlights Wijaya Kusuma Contractors’ commitment to contributing to Indonesia’s cultural development by constructing venues that not only meet high standards of functionality and design but also pay homage to the country’s artistic heritage. The Radjawali Cultural Center’s Indonesian-inspired façade, coupled with its performance spaces, multifunction room, and outdoor plaza, creates a dynamic cultural hub. It stands as a symbol of progress in preserving and promoting Indonesian culture, enhancing Semarang’s cultural landscape and providing a platform for artists to inspire future generations.
